Editing/Endorsing a Policy

At AI Insurance, we accommodate any type of endorsement that may be relevant to your policies. See how to do the most basic ones below.

Accessing your Policies

The first step in endorsing a policy is finding your policy. Policies are easily found within our UI by clicking on “Policies” in the left hand navigation pane.

Terminating an Insured

Option 1: Terminating an insured through the Policy Edit flow

Step 1: Click Actions → Edit Policy

Step 2: Enter the Effective Date of the Termination

Note: The Effective Date must fall between the Coverage Start Date and the Coverage End Date.

Step 3: Click on the ⏹️ and this will terminate coverage for the corresponding insured on the Effective Date.

Option 2: Terminate an Insured through the Policy View.

Step 1: Find the Policy for the Insured, Click Insureds, and Click on the Insured to be terminated.

Step 2: Click on “Terminate Coverage” in the Insured's information.

Step 3: Set the Termination Date for the insured and complete the remaining steps as needed.

Adding an Insured

Option 1: Adding an insured through the Policy Edit flow

Step 1: Click Actions → Edit Policy

Step 2: Enter the Effective Date of the new Insured to the policy

Note: The Effective Date must fall between the Coverage Start Date and the Coverage End Date.

Step 3: Select or Create a New Insured and complete the remaining steps.

Option 2: Adding an Insured through the Policy View.

Step 1: Find the Policy for the Insured, Click Insureds, and then Click on button below.

Step 2: Select or Create a New Insured and finalize with the remaining steps.

Canceling a Policy

In the Policy Edit flow, setting the Effective Date and changing the Coverage End Date to match is how a policy is canceled.

Important Note: If wanting to cancel a policy, DO NOT Delete the policy! Deleting a policy completely removes the policy and is very different from Canceling a policy.

All Other Edits

If you want to make other edits, please always use the Policy Edit flow. This can include changing limits, adjusting deductibles, adding/removing lines of coverage, etc..

Actions → Edit Policy: Click on “Actions” and select “Edit Policy”

Confirming and Viewing Edits

We make viewing edits and activities made against policies simple to find.

Policy Snapshots

Policies may be edited multiple times throughout its lifecycle. AI Insurance tracks each edit across individual snapshots. If you'd like to confirm the changes you've made or view previous edits, click one of the timepoints in the snapshot view.

Timeline

When you've selected a date, you can click on the changes made and we'll display the exact edits made.

Activity View

Across the Application, changes to entities are tracked in an immutable manner called the Activity Feed. You can also confirm the changes made to the policy here.
