Exporting Data

AI Insurance believes that you should always own and have control of your data. That is why with the Exporting Data feature, you have the functionality to generate and export a variety of reports on our platform. You can export a variety of data across the system with options to customize the fields you wish to export. You can export data related to your [Events], [Insureds], [Policies], or [Financials].

Exporting Policy Data

How to export Policy data

To export policy data, begin by navigating to the Policies page from the left hand navigation pane.

From the Policies page, select the “Actions” dropdown and then select “Export Policies”

Any filters that are applied on this page will also apply to your export.

The Export Policies page allows you to click additional fields you want to add and click and drag on added fields (purple tiles) to reorder the fields you wish to export. Configure your export before selecting “Export Policies” to continue. Once your export is finished, your export will be downloaded to your machine according to your browser’s download settings.

Exporting Insured Data

How to export Insured data

To export insured data, begin by navigating to the “Insureds” page from the left hand navigation pane.

From the Insureds page, select the “Export Insureds” button.

The Export Insureds page allows you to select and reorder the fields you wish to export. Configure your export before selecting “Export Insureds” to continue. Once your export is finished, your export will be downloaded to your machine according to your browser’s download settings.

Note: By default, the Insureds list on the prior page filters out insureds without active coverage. This counts as a filter applied to your export as well indicated by the “X insureds matching your search” option being selected. If you wish to include all of your insureds stored in AI Insurance, change the Export Settings to “All Insureds”

Exporting Events Data

How to export Events data

To export Event data, begin by navigating to the “Events” page from the left hand navigation pane.

If you wish to export only your incidents or only your claims, ensure you have the appropriate tab selected on the events page before proceeding.

From the Event page, select the “Export Events” button.

The Export Events page allows you to select and reorder the fields you wish to export. Configure your export before selecting “Export Events” to continue. Once your export is finished, your export will be downloaded to your machine according to your browser’s download settings.

Exporting financial data as of a specific date

You may also export a subset of your events’ financial data. Entering a date into the “Export Financials as of” field will export the financial values of your selected events at the selected date. For example if you only wish to include the invoices and transactions on and before 12/1/2023 and omit the transactions after, enter an “as of” date of “12/1/2023”.

By default, the export will include all financial transactions up to your current date.

Exporting Financials Data

Financial data can be exported at a global level or at a per-Event or per-Policy level.

Exporting from Global Financials

To begin, navigate to the “Financials” page from the left hand navigation pane.

Apply any filters or select specific entrees you would like to export.

Select “Export” at the top right of the table.

Define the scope of your export and confirm.

Exporting from within a Event of Policy

To begin, navigate to a specific event or policy and select the “Financials” tab

Apply any filters or select specific entrees you would like to export.

Select “Export” at the top right of the table.

Export Customization

Filtering your exported entities

When exporting your data, any filters you apply prior to exporting may be applied to the export as well.

Start by searching or applying filters and selecting the Export option at the top right of the page.

Make sure the “X items matching your search” option is selected and export as normal.

Adding fields to your export

Depending on what you are exporting, you can add different related fields to that export.

To add a field to your export, start by looking for the field you want under the “Add fields to export” section. You may also search for a specific field to quickly locate it.

Click on the field and it will be moved to the “Reorder fields for export” section above.

Removing fields from your export

To remove a field from your export, you can select the “X” next to the name of the field. Fields removed this way will return to the “Add fields to export” section below and you may add them back at any time.

Note that there is one identifier field for each type of export that cannot be removed.

Reordering fields for your export

The column order of your selected fields to export can also be configured.

To start, make sure you have all the fields you wish to export added to the “Reorder fields for export”

The columns will be ordered from left to right, top to bottom when exported.

To change the order in which a specific field appears, select and drag its pill to move it to the place you want.

Creating Export Presets

If there is a configuration of fields you frequently export, you can create a preset to quickly select and order the fields for that export.

Start by configuring the export by adding, removing, or reordering any fields as you desire. Once you have the fields configured, select “Save as Preset” button above.

Enter a name for your preset and select “Create new preset ‘Entered Value’”

Select “Save” and your preset will be created.

Updating an Existing Preset

You may overwrite existing presets at any time.

Start by configuring your exported fields as desired. When complete, select “Save as Preset” button as you would to create a new preset.

When filling out the Preset Name field, a dropdown will appear containing your existing presets. Select the desired preset you would like to overwrite from the dropdown. You may also type and search to narrow down the options displayed.

Once selected, select “Save” and your preset will be updated.

Removing an Existing Preset

You may remove a preset at any time.

Start by clicking on the preset dropdown on the export screen.

Next to the name of each preset, there is a trash can icon. Select the icon to receive a confirmation modal.

Select “Delete” to confirm the deletion of the preset.
