User Roles and Permissions

The Users and Permissions feature is essential for maintaining data security and managing user roles and permissions effectively. By assigning different roles to your team members, you can control what actions they can perform and what information they can access in the system.

Accessing Users and Permissions

Step 1: Navigating to Company Settings

Start by clicking on your company name on the left side of the user interface. This action directs you to the company-level settings.

Step 2: Accessing Users

Under your company’s name, locate and click on the "Users" option to manage user permissions.

Managing Users

Adding a New User

Step 1. In the top right-hand corner of the “Users” option, find and click on "Add New User."

Step 2. Select the appropriate role for the new user.

Step 3. Enter the user's name and email.

Step 4. Save the changes to grant the specified permissions.

Editing a User

Step 1. Within the “User” option, identify the user in the list whose role permissions you wish to modify.

Step 2. Click the down arrow under the "Role" column in the same row.

Step 3. Adjust the role as needed and save the changes.

Removing or Deleting a User

Step 1. Within the “User” option, locate the user in the list whose permissions you want to revoke.

Step 2. Click the trash symbol in the "Remove" column of the respective row.

Step 3. Confirm the deletion to remove the user and their associated permissions.

Roles

Default Roles

  • Carrier Admin: Full read/write access on all carrier data. Can add new carrier members and change their role. Able to view Priveleged notes.

  • Viewer: Full read access on all carrier data

  • Viewer/Exporter: Full read access on all carrier data. Export access on all carrier data

  • MGA (Managing General Agent): Full read/write access on carrier incidents. Read/export access on everything else

  • Manager: Full read/write access on all carrier data. Able to view Priveleged notes.

  • Event Manager: Full read/write access on carrier events. Read/export access on everything else.

Privilege

Roles can optionally contain privilege. Certain objects in AI Insurance (notes, for example) can be marked as "privileged", making them only viewable by users whose roles contain privilege. Privilege can be configured for any role.

Custom Roles

AI Insurance offers the option to create custom roles tailored to your specific needs. For a fee, you can have roles designed to control access to specific features and data based on your company's unique requirements.
